What is G:link?
The Gold Coast Light Rail or G:link is a mass transportation system that services the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It began operation in July 2014 and consists of a single 20-kilometre line with a total of 19 stations between Helensvale and Broadbeach.
The G has already proved itself to be a valuable component of public transport with 9.23 million people riding the G 2017-18, up from the predicted 8.72 million. These figures are expected to rise again in 2018-19 to 10.2 million.
